About Us

Who We Are

Blue Ridge Conservation Science is a  501-C3 Non-profit organization serving private land owners in the Blue Ridge Mountains Region of the Southern Appalachian Mountains.

Our Mission

Our mission is to conserve and restore wildlife habitat throughout the Blue Ridge Mountain region by providing bio-monitoring services, educational outreach events, and habitat restorations to landowners interested in conserving private lands.

Our Services

Bio-monitoring and Research

BRCS provides bio-monitoring services to landowners in our partners in a conservation program.  See how your land management practices affect plant and wildlife biodiversity on your property, host a research project,  and learn how you can monitor wildlife populations/plant abundance on your land!

Habitat Restorations

Every year a select few landowners in our partners in conservation program will be chosen for a free habitat restoration workday with BRCS staff and volunteers.

Education/ Outreach

Community workshops, kids camps and farm tours.

Internships/Scholarships

We aim to provide invaluable hands-on conservation experience for students to further develop techniques in the field. A local high school student interested in pursuing a conservation-based degree will be awarded a scholarship each year.
