Buffers for Bobwhites

Buffers for Bobwhites

Buffers for Bobwhites

A little buffer goes a long way!

Leaving an unmowed buffer around your cultivated field, yard, or pasture can provide crucial nesting and brooding cover to Northern Bobwhite Quail, Wild Turkey and other ground nesting birds and mammals.

This program is perfect for crop farmers, ranchers and equestrians interested in making a positive impact for wildlife without the commitment of a full restoration or planting.

Imagine your livestock grazing with the nostalgic noise of Quail whistling in the distance. Join today and help us bring back the Bobwhite!

Roadside Restoration

Buffers for Bobwhites

Buffers for Bobwhites

Many roadsides are home to communities of native plants with huge pollinator and wildlife benefits!

Imagine your roadsides bursting with colorful blooms, insects and birds every year!

Weather you want to do a full planting with native wildflowers and grasses, or just allow an existing roadside remnant to grow, you will be amazed at difference you can make by restoring your roadsides.

Place one of our "Roadside Restoration" signs on your roadside today and watch the native plant community blossom!

Steers and Streams

Buffers for Bobwhites

Steers and Streams

Perfect for Ranchers wanting to make an impact on their land!

Cows impact creeks through soil erosion, sediment runoff, and nutrient pollution. Proper land and livestock management practices are essential for preserving creek ecosystems while sustaining agriculture.

Leaving an unmowed riparian buffer between your cattle and streams will prevent erosion of your creek banks, loss of riparian land, and foot rot in your livestock.

Join us in an effort to keep our streams and your cattle as healthy as possible by fencing off creeks and wetlands on your property!

No- Mow Neighbors

Kestrel Monitoring

Steers and Streams

Tired of mowing?

Lets put the bush-hogs away!

Many Native wildflowers and grasses never get to flower and reseed due to regular mowing. Lets retire the bushogs and allow your native species to thrive!

Tall grasslands provide food, cover, and nesting habitat to ground nesting birds, white tailed deer fawns, and more!

Livestock eat many native plants when given the opportunity to grow, these plants also provide thermal cover in the winter and calving cover throughout the year.

Help us bring back the Southeasts Native Grasslands and Savannas!
